The NZ Herald published some of the Auckland mayoral candidates policy ideas across five areas: Seniors, Families, Homeless, Ethnic and Motorists.
Labour MP Phil Goff mentioned the word government five times – the most of any candidate. Four of the references relate to his insistence government pays for his plans.
I mention the word government only twice, both in the Homeless area where the government plays a leading role.
