Mark is an entrepreneur and smart cities expert with a unique commercial and community leadership background. He founded services consulting business Serviceworks in 2005 and for six years was a member of the Auckland Council, the largest local authority in Australasia. He is now based in Singapore.
Serviceworks clients have included major international and New Zealand companies, industry organisations and not for profit groups. The group also ran a “Metro Top 50″ Auckland restaurant for five years.
Mark has held senior management roles in the banking and energy industries, including Head of Group Marketing at ANZ Bank. He ran ANZ’s landmark Restoring Customer Faith Project in New Zealand and was responsible for the Auckland and Wellington retail branch network.
He has been actively involved in a wide-range of community and volunteer groups for more than fifteen years. He was a Deputy Chair of the Orakei Local Board on the Auckland Council from 2010 to 2016 and was an Auckland mayoral candidate in 2016 on a platform of an Auckland That Works.
Mark is a professional director and has held governance roles with a wide range of commercial, public and not for profit organisations. He is a member of the New Zealand Institute of Directors and the Sustainable Business Network, and was appointed by the New Zealand Government to its Rules Reduction Taskforce in 2015.
